Mumbai
is divided into straight lines in terms of places starting from South Mumbai to North
Mumbai, etc.. Also Mumbai Suburbs are known as East or West as per their location on
either side of the railway tracks. We are taking Colaba as the point of commencing the
guided tour and will follow the path accordingly.

Colaba: Colaba is the gateway of Mumbai where a majority
of the tourists stay. It starts with Gateway Of India the landmark of Mumbai,
the Taj Mahal Hotel opposite the Gateway Of India and Radio Club situated on the
other side. From Gateway Of India, a boat service is available if you would like to just
go for a boat ride or to go to the Elephanta Caves. |

There are a lot of places to stay round and about The Taj
and many restaurants to wine and dine in Colaba. Cottage Emporium next to
The Taj is quite famous for shopping for visiting tourists. Take a buggy
Ride at night from Colaba to Churchgate if you would like to experience Mumbai well.(Km-0)

Nariman Point/Cuffe Parade: Nariman Point is one of the
posh areas of Mumbai and the business hub of Mumbai. However with the change in economic
conditions, many Corporates have been shifted/re-located to other areas of Mumbai i.e.
Parel, Worli, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Andheri-Kurla Road and Powai. The top end hotel THE
OBEROI is located here with a number of Airlines Offices in this area. (Km-2/mile-1.4)

Cuffe
Parade is one of the high-end areas where the famous World Trade Centre
and Unit Trust of India offices are located. The also famous PRESIDENT
HOTEL is located here. Navy Nagar/Army cantonment area is located here which is
the boundary of Mumbai.(Km-3/mile-2)
Churchgate: One of the most prominent disembarking stations for Western
Railway local trains, millions of people visit the same for boarding locals. The Railway
Booking Office and Department of Tourism Office
are located near Churchgate station. From Churchgate one Road goes to Flora
Fountain and one to the famous Marine Drive. Famous sari shops Kalaniketan
and Roopkala are situated here.(Km-2/mile 1.4)

Flora Fountain: Known, as Fountain area which is
prominent hub for commercial activity of Mumbai as all the Major banks
are located here Hence encash your Traveller's Cheques here. Also
country's premier stock exchange Bombay Stock Exchange(BSE) is situated here.(Km-0.5/mile-0.3)
