RESISTING RECORD CABINET
An office survives on paper work. Since paper can be destroyed by fire within minutes, a
business with unprotected records is vulnerable to the risk of fire.

a fraction of the cost of the loss that could occur due to burnt records.
SOLID CONSTRUCTION FOR STRUCTURAL STRENGTH
The Godrej FRRC has a sturdy double-walled body and door of multibend construction
fabricated from prime quality steel. This body is reinforced at vital points to enable the
cabinet to withstand a severe fall or impact of debris in case of a building collapse.
IN-SITU INSULATION FOR
RELIABLE FIRE RESISTANCE
The Godrej FRRC has a highly efficient insulation of a special fire resisting compound
poured in-situ between the two balls of the body and the door giving it a 75mm thick
wrap-around protection against fire. This compound is solid and stable and does not
deteriorate with age.
TONGUE-AND-GROOVE CONSTRUCTION
The door has a specially designed tongue-and-groove construction which creates a diversion
in the passage of flames and hot gases, preventing them from entering the cabinet. This
construction, coupled with the efficient insulation provided by the fire resisting
compound, gives the cabinet as much resistance to fire as a 610 mm concrete wall. Hence,
whilst the fire rages outside at a temperature of 1010(degree)C [1850(degree)F], the inner
temperature remains below 177(degree)C. Keeping the records safe and usable.
INDEPENDENTLY TESTED FOR PERFORMANCE
The Godrej FRRC has successfully withstood severe fire and impact tests. They include the
2-hour fire endurance test at the Central Building Research Institute, Rookie, Utter
Pradesh-the only accredited institute of its kind in India for carrying out such tests.The
fire-impact test involved heating the FRRC in a furnace to 1010(degree)C, dropping it from
a height of 4 metres and subsequently heating it again in an inverted position to
1010(degree)C. After the test, the paper records inside the FRRC were found to be usable,
demonstrating its superior fire impact resisting capabilities.The fire endurance test
involved heating the FRRC in a furnace at a standard time temperature curve for two hours
while constantly monitoring the temperature inside. During this test, the inside
temperature remained well below 177(degree)C, the temperature at which paper begins to
char.
SECURE LOCKING
The door of a Godrej FRRC is secured by a strong bolt-work mechanism which, by the turn of
a handle, throws a total of 8 bolts into the body in all four directions. The bolt-work in
this position is locked by a Godrej 6-lever dual-control lock. Stainless steel keys are
provided in duplicate.For additional safety, a Godrej 3-wheel combination lock which
offers a choice of one million different combinations can be provided at extra cost, if
specified at the time of placing of order.
CHOICE OF ACCESSORIES FOR EFFICIENT SPACE UTILIZATION
For ease and convenience in storage of files, Godrej FRRC can be fitted with the 'Instadex
Lateral' filing system at extra cost. In this system, a pair of steel cradles is fixed on
which 180/200 Instadex file pockets are suspended. This allows for immaculate filing with
maximum utilization of space.
The file pockets of the Instadex filing system are of sturdy craft paper reinforced with
cloth along its base. The top edges of heavily reinforced board glide smoothly on the
cradles. The double slot design of the pocket enables instant removal of the pocket from
the cradle.Instadex file pocket is provided with an adjustable aluminium title holder
which can be set at different angles for the convenience of users.
ATTRACTIVE FINISH FOR ELEGANT LOOKS
The Godrej FRRC comes with an attractive charbrown colour in stipple finish that
complements any decor. Additionally, it is provided with an off-white painted panel and
chromium plated brass handle. A superior anti-rust pre-treatment and oven-baking process
provide lifelong durability.
COST-EFFECTIVE STORAGE CAPACITY
The Godrej FRRC has a net effective storage volume of 0.64 cubic metres (22 cubic feet)
which is much more than that provided by competing brands. This ensures a lower cost per
unit of storage space and more value for money.
